Powerware and MGE brought under Eaton brand By AvantiKumar

KUALA LUMPUR, 25 AUGUST 2009 – Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton has unveiled a new brand strategy by bringing its legacy Powerware and MGE Office Protection Systems under the Eaton brand.

Eaton’s South Asia sales director, Hoong Kuan Yin, said this change is part of a global process to strengthen Eaton’s identity as a leading provider of power protection, distribution and management worldwide.

“The Powerware and MGE Office Protection Systems legacy brands will become known as the Powerware and Pulsar series, respectively,” said Hoong. “Consolidating the two legacy series under the overall Eaton brand will enlarge the company’s product portfolio to better meet customers’ needs.”

“The effort will also help Eaton simplify brand management and reduce operational complexity,” he said. “Additionally, it will allow Eaton to leverage marketing opportunities more efficiently to improve visibility and increase competitiveness.”

He added that in the future, Eaton would integrate different industry-leading technologies into new products to provide customers with the most efficient solutions and services available.

“Eaton is currently the biggest provider of power protection, distribution and management solutions in many countries, and the second largest player globally,” said Hoong. “Despite this, we are not fully recognised as Eaton in all of our markets as some partners and customers still refer to us via these two legacy brands. Now is the time to build awareness around one single Eaton brand.”

Cinema and Technology: Up in the Air (2009)

I wanted to watch this movie because I read a blog that said: don’t let your boss watch "Up in the Air"? Why? I wanted to find out.
