HONG KONG, 4 MAY 2009 – Sanmu, a Hong Kong-based mobile handset provider, has announced plans to sell third-generation subscriber units and module/modem cards implementing CDMA 2000 and/or TD-SCDMA standards.
Shenzhen Sanmu Communication Technology Company (Sanmu), established in 2003, is a mobile handset and terminal solution provider in Hong Kong, with its own research and development centres and factory in Shenzhen, China.
Under the terms of the royalty bearing agreement, Qualcomm, a US-based developer of advanced wireless technologies, products and services, has granted Sanmu a worldwide patent licence to develop, manufacture and sell subscriber units and module/modem cards implementing the CDMA2000 (code division multiple access 2000) and/or TD-SCDMA (time division-synchronous code division multiple access) standards.
