Main theme at international business continuity management conference By AvantiKumar

KUALA LUMPUR, 6 MAY 2009 – How Malaysian companies can weather the economic crisis will be a main theme at an international business continuity management (BCM) conference, according to Malaysian organisers.

About 300 senior delegates from the government and private sectors are expected to attend a two-day BCM conference, to be held 22-23 June 2009, at Nikko Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, according to representatives from HeiTech Managed Services and Disaster Recovery Institute Malaysia (DRI Malaysia).

HeiTech Managed Services, a  subsidiary of Malaysian IT managed services provider HeiTech Padu, and non-profit organisation Disaster Recovery Institute Malaysia (DRI Malaysia) signed an agreement to manage the event, which was witnessed by HeiTech Padu’s executive chairman, Dato’ Mohd Hilmey Mohd Taib.

Fourteen international speakers have been invited, including the keynote speaker, Alan Berman from the Disaster Recovery Institute of the United  States of America, said HeiTech Managed Services chief executive officer, Halim Md Lassim.

Halim said: “The objectives include the sharing of knowledge from professionals from all over the world on business survival approaches, especially during the current global economic and pandemic crisis.”
