Second annual itSMF conference scheduled to run next week will host two ITIL v3 experts from Japan. By AvantiKumar

KUALA LUMPUR, 15 OCTOBER 2009-Raising standards and qualifications in the IT Service management industry is becoming even more critical as Malaysia is at a crossroads, according to organisers of the second annual IT Services management forum (itSMF) in Malaysia.

The conference, which is to be held 22 October, Cititel Hotel, Mid Valley, Kuala Lumpur, Organised by the Malaysian chapter of the not-for-profit-organisation itSMF [IT Service Management Forum], includes speakers from US, Australia, and Singapore, who will discuss best practices.

First established in the UK, 1991, itSMF is an independent and internationally-recognised forum for IT Service Management professionals worldwide. Further information is at www.itsmf.my.

Japanese experts
In addition, Malaysian government agency Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) chief operating officer, Ng Wan Peng, is guest of honour.

Organisers said that as well as providing networking opportunities for local companies, the agenda includes two ITIL [IT Infrastructure Library)] v3 experts from the Japanese chapter of itSMF, who will conduct awareness sessions Japanese companies in Malaysia.
