KUALA LUMPUR, 2 JULY 2009 – For the first time, social media sites have been used to challenge Asians’ memory, according to memory manufacturer Kingston Technology.

“By using social media sites such as Facebook and funP.com to launch the ‘Challenge Your Memory’, Kingston is the first memory brand manufacturer to leverage the power of social media,” said Kingston Asia & Pacific vice president, Scott Chen.

“ ‘Social marketing’ is a new field that marketers are looking into, and many marketers are trying to implement social marketing tactics, expecting to drive it to success,” said Chen, who said that the game (further details at http://funp.com/apps/kingston/) is available in English and Traditional Chinese.

He added that the ‘Challenge Your Memory’ is a card game to test the participants’ memory. “Kingston will announce the prize winners on Kingston Blog (www.kingston-blog.com) on the fifth day of every month. For the entries submitted through Facebook, prizes will be delivered to addresses within the Asia Pacific region, excluding China.”

“Nowadays, many companies are looking for ways to leverage ‘social marketing’ and maximising the effects,” said Chen. “Kingston is excited about being the first memory brand to present an application on social media sites.”

Cinema and Technology: Up in the Air (2009)

I wanted to watch this movie because I read a blog that said: don’t let your boss watch "Up in the Air"? Why? I wanted to find out.
