Patties Foods implements Lawson Learning Accelerator for better employee training. By Computerworld Singapore staff writer

SINGAPORE, 17 AUGUST 2009—One of Australia's leading manufacturers and distributors of pastry products and fruit pies, Patties Foods, has increased its investment in Lawson Software's enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions, having now implemented Lawson Learning Accelerator, which enables fast and efficient staff training on Lawson software.

A Lawson Software customer since 2005, Patties Foods recently upgraded to Lawson M3 7.1 technology, in addition to its Lawson M3 applications and other Lawson M3 technologies. Essentially, the smooth running of Patties Foods's operations relies substantially on Lawson Software solutions. Thus, a quick means of acquainting and familiarising members of staff on their use would be highly beneficial. As such, the company decided to implement the Lawson Learning Accelerator, which allows executives at Patties Foods to create customised, role-based training simulations and documentation to help effectively train and introduce employees to new software systems and capabilities as they are rolled out.

"The beauty of Lawson Learning Accelerator is that it provides us with a single set of instructions and standard documentation that can be issued company wide," said general manager of information technology for Patties Foods, Zelko Erdec. "Following an evaluation of other similar solutions on the market, Learning Accelerator proved to be the most feature-rich, the most flexible and the most functionally comprehensive product available."
