Facebook the under 40 billionaire factory: Forbes

The world's largest social media site Facebook has turned out to be the most lucrative for its young founders with four of the original team appearing in the Forbes young billionaire rich list, released overnight.
Number 12 is Yoshikazu Tanaka, 36, $US1.8 billion founder of social network game site Gree and Maxim Nogotkov, 36, $US1.3 billion computer programmer who launched mobile phone retailer Svyaznoy.
Overall, the elder tech billionaires are also the richest with Microsoft founder Bill Gates the second wealthiest with a net worth $US67 billion; Oracle chief Larry Ellison with a net worth of $US43 billion and Google co-founder Larry Page $US23 billion.

The youngest on the list is Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz, 28, who has a net worth of $US3.8 billion. Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg, 28, is the second youngest but by far the richest among the under 40s with a net worth of $US13.3 billion.
Moskovitz, is Zuckerberg's former Harvard roommate and no longer works at Facebook but holds a stake. Both saw their fortunes fluctuate after Facebook's May public listing whichexperienced rapid declines before a recovery later in the year.
Coming in as the fifth youngest, is another Facebook co-founder, Eduardo Saverin, 30. He has a net worth of $US2.2 billion and now lives in Singapore and invests in the tech startup scene there.
Then there's ninth youngest, Napster music share site founder Sean Parker, 33, who has a net worth of $US2 billion. According to Forbes, he was Facebook's first president and still holds shares and runs video platform startup Airtime.
Twitter co-founder, Jack Dorsey, 36, $US1.1 billion is 15th youngest, while, at 37, Nicholas Woodman, who developed adventure camera maker GoPro, has a net wealth of $US1.3 billion. He founded the waterproof attachable high-definition camera in 2004.
All up out eight out of the 23 billionaires in the Forbes under 40 list were self-made technology entrepreneurs.
