Will graphite be needed in the future

The 2021 International Energy Agency ("IEA") report highlighted that the world will need between 8 and 25x more flake graphite from 2020 to 2040. This is supported by my recent Trend Investing forecast of a 17x increase in flake graphite demand from 2020 to 2037. Minerals associated with graphite include quartz, calcite, micas, and tourmaline. Graphite is not an igneous rock because it originates from organic material and is composed of carbon. Igneous rock is a rock that is formed by cooling magma or lava, which is composed of various minerals and metals like iron. However, some graphite may be found within chunks of igneous rock.
