A variety of synthetic parameters were examined to determine how they affected the morphology and rate nitridation rates of AlN particle alumina. The actual amount of agents that must be used in the manufacturing process will depend on the size of the alumina. The preferred range is 3-20 mass%. Particle size is affected by several parameters like the heating furnace used and the time taken to heat the material.
