What are the different types of water reducers agent

What is Water reducing agent?

Water reducers developed over the years can be categorized as lignosulfonates, hydroxycarboxylic acids, hydroxylated polymers, salts of melamine formaldehyde sulfonates, or naphthalene formaldehyde sulfonic acids. The most recent technology, using polycarboxylates, was introduced in the 1990s. Water Reducing Admixtures (WRAs), sometimes called plasticizers, are designed to free trapped Water that is present in concrete mixtures and used in various applications to ensure or improve workability. When cement clinker is ground, electrical charges are created on the surface of the particles. Water reducers are chemicals that reduce the Water to cement ratio in concrete. As a result, they tend to increase strength while minimizing the impact on any other properties of the concrete. A major characteristic is a capability to substantially reduce the water content of a mix.

What are the different types of water reducers?

Water reducers are divided into three general types: conventional, mid-range, and high-range admixtures. While the properties of water reducers within the "conventional" category are typically very similar, the chemistries used by different manufacturers vary. Common reducing agents include carbon (coke or coal), hydrogen gas, and substances referred to in food chemistry as antioxidants (e.g., ascorbic acid and vitamin E). Various reactions involving reducing agents were given. At first sight, lithium having a high value of ionization energy amongst alkali metals, acts as the strongest reducing agent in solution. Common reducing agents include metals potassium, calcium, barium, sodium, and magnesium, as well as compounds that contain the hydride H− ion: NaH, LiH, LiAlH4, and CaH2. Some elements and compounds can be both reducing or oxidizing agents.

What is a normal water reducer angent?

Normal Water reducing admixtures are typically used in the range of 0.2 to 0.6% by weight of cement and give water reductions of 8 to 12%. Mid-range water-reducing admixtures are used at 0.3 to 0.8% by weight of cement and typically give 10 to 15% water reduction. Other reducing agent compounds include Carbon, Carbon monoxide, Ascorbic acid, Sulphur dioxide, Hydrogen, Oxalic acid, phosphorus, phosphorus, hypophosphites, etc. Superplasticizers, also known as plasticizers or high-range water reducers (HRWR), reduce water content by 12 to 30 percent and can be added to concrete with a low-to-normal slump and water-cement ratio to make high-slump flowing concrete. Commonly used retarding admixture is calcium sulfate or gypsum. Starch, cellulose products, common sugar, and salts of acids are some other retarders. Most of Water reducing admixtures also act as retarding admixtures, and they are called retarding plasticizers.

Price of Water reducing agent

Water-reducing agent particle size and purity will affect the product's Price, and the purchase volume can also affect the cost of Water reducing agents. A large amount of large amount will be lower. The Price of the Water reducing agent is on our company's website.
