Xiaomi China today confirmed via social media that both Xiaomi Mi 12pro and Xiaomi Mi 12 will Xiaomi 12pro is coming soonuse Qualcomm's latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset to provide customers with the "fastest in the industry" performance.

However, Xiaomi is not the only mobile phone manufacturer using Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 as its flagship product. There is also the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S22 series, Realme GT 2 Pro, Oppo Find X4 Pro, and the recently released Motorola Edge X30 packaged with the same flagship chipset as the Xiaomi Mi 12 Pro.
Recently, the benchmark score of Mi 12 Pro was leaked, and this news is very promising. In Geekbench 5, the Mi 12 Pro scored 1246 points in the single-core test and 3903 points in the multi-core test. In contrast, Moto X30, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Qualcomm reference device, and MediaTek reference device dimension 9000 scored lower than the Xiaomi flagship in the same benchmark test.
However, according to the official results of Geekbench, we can see that Xiaomi Mi 12 Pro lags behind Dimension 9000 in multi-core score. MediaTek’s new chip scored more than 4000 points in the multi-core test, unlike the Mi 12 in this list, which scored just over 3900 points. In terms of single-core scores, although the gap between dimension 9000 and the Mi 12 Pro is small, it still benefits dimension 9000. The Geekbench test also recorded that the 12GB version of Xiaomi 12 Pro running Android 12 was used for testing.
