Users want to sideload can buy an Andriod

With increasing tensions around the review and app store and how users download and install apps on the iPhone, Apple Chief Executive Tim Cook said today that customers wishing to sideload apps should consider buying an Android device to provide the experience. ‌iPhone‌ maximizes their security and privacy.
At the DealBook summit of the New York Times, Cook said that customers now have a choice, whether they want a safe and protected platform or an ecosystem that allows sideloading. "If you want to download it sideways, you can buy an Android phone." Cook likened side loading to automakers selling cars without airbags or seat belts, calling it too dangerous. Today, he will never consider doing this. This is too risky.
Sideloading allows users to download and install apps directly on their ‌iPhones‌ from the open Internet. It has become a hot topic in recent months, and Cook has now joined in. Earlier this week, Apple’s senior vice president of software engineering Craig Federighi (Craig Federighi) said that side downloading is the best friend of cybercriminals. He emphasized that if users are allowed to do anything on the network, free installation of applications in places may be dangerous to users.
In a paper published in October, Apple shared some facts about the security and privacy of the iPhone compared to the Android ecosystem. In this paper, Apple stated that research has shown that mobile malware attacks on Android smartphones are 15 to 47 times higher than those targeted at ‌iPhone‌. "This is closely related to sideloading," the paper added.
When it comes to privacy issues, Cook was questioned. Because it was recently reported that companies such as Facebook, Google, and Snapchat have lost nearly $10 billion in revenue this year due to Apple’s application tracking transparency prompt, which requires developers to obtain user consent before tracking users. Cook declined to comment on specific figures, but he reiterated that Apple believes that privacy is a basic human right.
''Andrew, I don't know these estimates, so I can't testify for these numbers, but I think from our point of view, privacy is a basic human right. The person who should decide whether to share the data is himself. So what we have been doing is putting the power on the user.
We did not make a decision, we simply reminded them whether they want to be tracked in the app.
Apple has launched some investigations and struggles around the world on the ‌App Store‌, and it is South Korea that is most likely to produce huge changes. Last month, China passed a new rule that prohibits platform owners from restricting developers to use only one in-app purchase method.
The in-app purchase method of the ‌App Store‌ requires developers to use in-app digital transactions, and it will pay Apple a 15-30% commission from all transactions. Cook pointed out today that Apple has only lowered its commissions and never raised them. However, if South Korea’s new laws are fully implemented, it will be a major turning point for the App Store. The ‌App Store‌ operates under a single global rule, and any change in one jurisdiction will apply to all developers worldwide.
