So far, Im glad that such incidences do not frequently occur in Singapore. At least, thats the impression I get from the low number of disclosed incidents by organisations here.
Its especially critical for businesses like banks and healthcare organisations to maintain customer confidence by ideally having a clean security record. But even when incidences do occur, minimising damage to customers and taking strong steps to ensure they do not repeat themselves is just as crucial. As a service consumer myself, I would want my confidential information to be safe, no matter what the cost.
