Cisco has appointed IBM executive Joshua Soh as the managing director for Singapore and Brunei.

He ran IBM's Global Technology Services business in Vietnam and was also country manager of Integrated Technology Services for IBM Singapore. Soh has 16 years of experience managing partner ecosystems and building customer relationships across Singapore and ASEAN.

Soh takes over from Irving Tan, who has been promoted to managing director for Asia South. "Joshua brings tremendous experience, customer relationships and dedication to Cisco and his services background will be invaluable to our customers as they navigate technology transitions such as Cloud Computing, Virtualisation and the Consumerisation of IT," said Tan.

Joshua is actively involved in the Singapore IT community, having served on the executive council of the Singapore Computer Society and was a past chairman of the Young Professionals Chapter.
