SINGAPORE, 6 JUNE 2011-IT Management Association (ITMA) Singapore kicked off its charity drive for the Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund (SPMF) by holding a movie screening of Kung Fu Panda 2 last Friday.

The session was held at the newly refurbished Lido cinema that saw some 250 CIOs and their families watch the Hollywood hit animation sequel in 3D format. Proceeds from the movie were then donated to the SPMF.

The show was shown on Lido's new theatre that displays movies in the IMAX format with images that are bigger and of higher resolution than conventional film systems. Roughly three storeys high, the screen measures about 19 metres wide and 9.5 metres high.

The private screening was ITMA's second event for the year, following its annual CIO Workshop held in May. Upcoming events include a study trip overseas and the yearly Best Practices Seminar. There are also plans to organise an effort to conduct charity work overseas.
