Stanimira Koleva to manage and lead Microsoft’s partner efforts across AP

With 19 years of experience in the IT industry, Koleva is expected to develop Microsoft’s company’s small and medium business offerings for Asia Pacific.

Microsoft has today appointed Stanimira Koleva as the general manager of Small and Midmarket Solutions and Partners division (SMS&P) for APAC.

Koleva will be responsible for developing the company's small and medium business offerings for Asia Pacific as the region continues to demand technologies across cloud, mobility, business intelligence and social.

Her appointment complements Microsoft's investment of up to US$5.8 billion on its partners worldwide across incentives, training, tools and programs to deliver enhanced partner profitability.

Koleva has 19 years of experience in the IT industry and channels in different local cultures.

Prior to this role, she was the vice president of the Partner Business Group for Cisco Systems for the Asia Pacific, Japan and Greater China (APJC) region, where she oversaw the company's partner strategy and partner business across the region. 

She once headed Cisco's European commercial and small business practice before moving to Asia in 2010 too.

Koleva has also held leading management roles at 3Com Corp for 10 years, including Asia Pacific vice president and general manager, and vice president, Enterprise Sales, Europe, Channel Sales Director International (EMEA and Asia Pacific).
