**Facebook Fun: Your Easy Guide to Sharing Stuff Online**
(How To Post On Facebook)
Ever wonder how everyone seems to share cool things on Facebook? Pictures, videos, funny thoughts? It’s really not hard. Think of Facebook like a giant digital bulletin board just for you and your friends. You pin stuff up there. People see it. They might like it. They might comment. This is how you post on Facebook.
First, you need to be logged in. Open the Facebook app on your phone or tablet. Or go to facebook.com on your computer. Find your profile picture or name in the top corner. Click or tap it. Now you’re ready.
Look for the box that says “What’s on your mind?” It’s usually right at the top of your News Feed or your profile page. That box is your starting point. Click inside it. A blinking cursor appears. That means you can type.
Now, just write! What do you want to tell people? Maybe you saw a funny dog today. Maybe you want to wish someone happy birthday. Maybe you just feel happy. Type that thought right into the box. Keep it simple. Keep it real. That’s the best way.
But words aren’t everything. Pictures and videos make posts way better. See the little icons below the text box? Look for the picture icon. It often looks like a little mountain or photo. Click it. This lets you add photos or videos from your device. Find the picture you want. Select it. Tap “Open” or “Done”. Now your picture is attached! You can add several pictures this way. Make a mini album.
Want to tag a friend? Maybe they were in the picture. Maybe you just want them to see your post. Type the “@” symbol right in your text. Then start typing their name. Facebook will suggest friends. Choose the right one. Their name becomes a blue link. Now they get notified about your post.
Feeling fancy? You can also add how you’re feeling. Or where you are. See the icons below the text box? One might say “Feeling/Activity”. Click it. Choose an emoji that fits your mood. Or pick “Check In” to add your location. People love knowing where you are.
Almost ready. Before you hit that big blue button, check your audience. Right next to the “Post” button, there’s a little audience selector. It might say “Friends” or “Public”. Click it. Who do you want to see this? Just friends? Friends except some people? Only you? Pick the right group. This controls privacy.
Time to share! Hit that “Post” button. Your words and pictures fly onto your profile and into your friends’ News Feeds. That’s it! You posted on Facebook.
Want to schedule a post? Maybe you have a big announcement but it’s 2 AM. Go to the three dots (…) next to “Post”. Choose “Schedule Post”. Pick the date and time you want it to go live. Hit “Schedule”. Facebook will post it automatically at that time. Easy trick.
