Adobe's Creative Cloud is now available for enterprises, announced the software solutions provider for the creative industry.
The Creative Cloud was already available for individuals and teams (team covers around 30 deployments). Its availability for enterprises completes the full Adobe Creative Cloud membership options which are now available globally, including in Singapore.
Adobe Creative Cloud is a subscription-based service that includes more than 30 tools and services enabling professional-grade content creation and delivery across print, Web, mobile apps, video and photography.
"As we get more connected, expectations are changing," said Vicky Skipp, regional director, Adobe South East Asia. "There are huge challenges in the creative process such as tool and sources are not highly manageable and assets are difficult to track. Adobe Creative Cloud is an answer to all these problems."
According to Skipp, Adobe's Creative Cloud is already becoming popular and the guidance is that 80 percent of its global revenues are coming from the cloud business. "Adobe Creative Cloud's advanced capabilities are making it a hit with the worldwide creative community: more than a half million paid members, and well over two million free members have signed up for Creative Cloud since it was launched globally in April 2012," she said.
The company's share price has jumped up by 41 percent when the cloud model was announced last May, she added.
Next gen apps
Adobe has also announced a significant update to Creative Cloud at Adobe MAX, the Creativity Conference held this week in Los Angeles. The company has announced 15 brand new apps that are only available in the Adobe Creative Cloud.
The company has introduced new versions of Adobe's next generation of desktop applications including Adobe Photoshop CC, InDesign CC, Illustrator CC, Dreamweaver CC and Premiere Pro CC.
In a departure from its past practice, the company has announced that it will cease to upgrade its Creative Suite (CS) and will focus on its cloud platform, Creative Cloud, which has now been integrated with Behance, its online creative community. However, Adobe Creative Suite 6 products will continue to be supported and available for purchase. "Focusing development on Creative Cloud will not only accelerate the rate at which Adobe can innovate but also broaden the type of innovation the company can offer the creative community," explained Skipp.
Through Behance, customers can showcase work, get feedback on projects and gain global exposure, said Skipp.
Pricing and availability
Adobe is facilitating the transition to Creative Cloud with attractive pricing plans and promotions for individual members, teams and enterprise customers.
Adobe will continue to sell licences for all CS6 products via electronic download from adobe.com and participating resellers, said Skipp.
