SINGAPORE FEBRUARY 25, 2011—HP has rolled out a new family of solutions devoted to organisations in health care. Called HP Digital Health solutions, the portfolio encompasses a slew of HP products and services, as well as partnerships it maintains with key industry players.
HP Digital Health includes the following.
* HP Digital Hospital 2.0, which according to an HP press release issued Friday (February 25) “holistically addresses the technology needs of the most complex and critical elements of care delivery for in-patient settings” and has been “updated to include an expanded solution framework and formal reference architectures.” It also said to offer health care organisations “a highly integrated, pervasive, real-time information environment.”
* HP Health Solution Center, which is a new centre (located in Plano, TX, USA) for “customers and partners to collaborate in a robust information and communication technology environment,” and boasts of features that enable “rich demonstration and evaluation capabilities critical to advancing the development of open, industry-standard healthcare solutions and technologies.”
* HP V-Health (Virtual Health Management), which is a “new solution set [that] focuses on the outpatient and home environment, delivering tools that enable healthcare organisations to link patient ‘teams’ to monitor health and deliver care to patients wherever it is needed.”
Referring to the combination of these key elements–in particular that of HP Digital Hospital 2.0 and V-Health, which together “enable care coordination across the healthcare ecosystem, [including] hospitals, ambulatory clinics, rehabilitation centres, nursing homes and physician offices–Sandeep Johri, VP, Strategy and Solutions, HP Enterprise Business said that the new Digital Health portfolio should prove very valuable to organisations in health care.
“Health organisations today run countless systems, tools and applications that are not connected or integrated,” said Johri. “HP’s new end-to-end Digital Health Solutions portfolio enables clients to efficiently coordinate care across the extended healthcare community.”
