Malaysia corporate travel agency Sedunia Travel Services has signed a six-year business and technology partnership with Singapore-based travel solutions and services provider Abacus International.

Under the agreement, Sedunia Travel Services (Sedunia) will continue its adoption of Abacus PowerSuite, a front-to-back financial solution that integrates the company's information and processes as well as use Abacus Consulting services to optimise its internal processes to realise productivity benefits and business efficiency.

Sedunia director Loke Kar Chee said the company is already using Abacus TravelIntelligence to manage its supplier relationships, monitor policy compliance, and enhance its customer service.

"Sedunia has always taken a pioneering view of improving services for our customers to become Malaysia's largest home-grown corporate travel agency," said Loke. "Abacus has played an important role in reaching these goals as a long-term strategic partner, and the partnership is an extension of that trust and collaboration."

Abacus International's president and chief executive officer Robert Bailey said: "Sedunia has decades of success in the travel business and with the foresight of using technology innovation, it has managed to keep improving its business operations and the customer experience."

Singapore-based Abacus International, which is owned by a consortium of regional airlines, provides travel solutions and services throughout the Asia Pacific region and has more than 20,000 travel agency locations in 31 markets.
