International car rental company Sixt is using a mobile business intelligence platform to better manage its fleet of business and leisure vehicles.
Using the QlikView on Mobile system, up to 1,000 Sixt staff can now analyse sales trends across all Sixt stations worldwide, and anticipate market demands in order to better manage the fleet anywhere and at any time.
With users performing interactive analysis themselves, Sixt said QlikView has minimised the time it takes in obtaining business critical information. Previously, Sixt was using a BI tool with 100 static reports being generated monthly.
"With QlikView, information is now available at our fingertips and can be used for different search queries," said Alexander Sixt, head of corporate development at Sixt. "Sixt is already benefiting from time savings and is using the data to improve the satisfaction of our customers."
He added: "The speed with which data can be queried and applications developed has fully convinced us. With QlikView, we have the results in just a few clicks and we get the information we need within minutes.
"The self-service BI concept allows our users without technical knowledge to create their own ad hoc reports so they always have the latest figures."
