Emerson unit is working with Datacraft to design and manage India data centres.

Manila, Philippines, 21 March 2011 – Emerson’s cooling and power unit, Emerson Network Power, has just struck a deal to design and deliver infrastructure systems to six data centres in India, and maintain the physical infrastructure for seven years.

Emerson Network said it will deliver Aperture Data Centre Infrastructure Suite and other solutions to solutions and service provider Datacraft Asia for the six data centres covering a total area of 66,000 square feet. The data centres will be located in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, and Ludhiana.

Datacraft Asia said the Emerson Network solutions will also allow them to offer co-location, hosted, and enterprise cloud services to its customers in India. Dilip Kumar, chief operating officer, Datacraft Asia, said they are particularly focused on delivering these services to the government and public sector in India.

The data centres will be designed and built for Tier III certification and 1.7 annualised power usage efficiency (PUE) for optimised energy efficiency.

Aside from the infrastructure systems, Emerson Network will also deliver its power and cooling technologies to Datacraft Asia.
