KUALA LUMPUR, 9 MARCH 2011 - Storage and data management solutions provider NetApp has strengthened its plans for Malaysia by appointing a new country manager for Malaysia and Brunei, it said.
NetApp ASEAN regional director Scott Morris said Andy Khoo was the company's new country manager for Malaysia and Brunei. "Effective immediately, Andy will lead the company's strategic planning, business development, marketing and operations activities in both countries."
"As the market embraces cloud computing and virtualisation, NetApp's focus on helping Malaysian businesses transition to more dynamic, flexible and efficient infrastructures requires a strong leader to accelerate future growth," said Morris. "We look to Andy's solid track record of achievements and extensive industry experience as valuable assets to drive new market opportunities and address our customers' current and future storage requirements."
"This is an exciting time for NetApp, and I look forward to playing a pivotal role in helping the company maximise its opportunities for growth and successes in the market," said NetApp's Khoo, who was previously a product manager with EMC and prior to that, Asia Pacific regional director for product development at Microsoft.
