The Executive Centre - an office space provider - has deployed Ruckus 802.11ac wave 2 smart Wi-Fi for its serviced offices in Asia Pacific (APAC) region to meet the evolving connectivity needs of its clients.
In a press statement, Ruckus said The Executive Centre previously provided internet to its clients through wired connections across its centres and used Wi-Fi as a secondary connectivity network. The company has then engaged its legacy provider to deliver additional wireless connectivity by provisioning additional access points for high density coverage to meet the growing demand of its clients for connectivity.
However, the platform was not stable enough to manage the incremental connectivity of the new devices.
"Today, with the rapid adoption of smartphone and mobile devices, businesses are no longer bound to the desks in their offices, but are increasingly working everywhere and anywhere, displaying a clear need for being constantly connected. Mobile connectivity for our clients is no longer an amenity, it's a must have. With Ruckus's Wave2 Wi-Fi technology, we are able to develop a robust, scalable, reliable Wi-Fi infrastructure, helping us to deliver exceptional client services and improve client retention, further helping us differentiate our brand in the market," said Paul Salnikow, Chairman and CEO of The Executive Centre.
As such, the company deployed more than 170 Ruckus ZoneFlex R710802.11ac wave 2 APs in its serviced offices in APAC including Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Tokyo, Sydney, Mumbai, Taipei, Seoul and Jakarta, to support more than 15,000 individual clients in the region.
The networks are then centrally managed throughout its centre network using a cluster of Ruckus SmartZone controllers.
Ruckus said the smart Wi-Fi has enabled the office space provider to better monetise its Wi-Fi networks. The Executive Centre can now offer its clients three tiers of packages for Wi-Fi access: Free, Premium, and Premium+.
Moving forward, the company is planning to deploy Ruckus wireless solutions across its new serviced office locations.
