This work reports on the investigation of nanosized CeO2-ZnO systems

This work reports on investigating nanosized CeO2-ZnO systems prepared by Pechini's method. The structural and morphological characterization of CeO2-ZnO systems as well as the characterization of CeO2 and ZnO separately, showed that the employed method resulted in powders with spheroidal particles whose sizes are in the range of 30 - 200 nm, which is appropriate to provide homogeneous suspensions. The ZnO present in the prepared mixed oxides seems to increase particle size distribution and infl

Hydrothermal synthesis and sintering of ultrafine CeO2 powders

What is CeO2?Nanocrystalline cerium(IV) oxide (CeO2) powders were prepared by heating solutions of cerium(IV) salts in the presence of urea under hydrothermal conditions at 120° to 180°C. The effects of urea concentration and hydrothermal treatment temperature on the morphology and crystallite size of the synthesized particles were investigated. The synthesized particles were angular, ultrafine CeO2 with a cubic fluorite structure. Their crystallite size decreased from 20 to 10 nm with increasin

There are several oxidation reactions of iron

Since iron has two valence states: +2 iron is called ferrous, +3 iron is called iron, so iron oxide is +3, and since oxygen is -2, according to the formula, the formula is Fe2O3. Iron oxide is the main component of rust. The leading cause of rust is that iron metal reacts with water and oxygen in the environment in the presence of carbon impurities, and iron metal rusts. For paint, ink, rubber, and other industries, it can be used as catalysts, glass, gems, and metal polishing agents and can be

Application of Zinc Stearate Emulsion in Coatings | Mis-asia

The "zinc soap", also known as zinc stearate in the modern world, is widely used. Soap is understood in this context as a metal salt of a fat acid. This white solid repels water. It's insoluble with polar solvents like alcohol andether. However, it can dissolve in aromatic hydrocarbons (e.g. benzene) when heated. Zinc stearate, the strongest of all metal soaps for releasing mold, is also one of its most effective. It does not contain an electrolyte, and it has a hydrophobic property. Its primary
