INET launches Thailand’s first public cloud DaaS solution with Citrix XenDesktop

The adoption of Citrix XenDesktop streamlines IT management and reduces risk, while minimising operation costs for INET customers.

Internet Thailand PLC (INET) announced today its partnership with Citrix to launch Thailand's first public cloud Desktop-as-a-Service (DAAS) offering.

Leveraging Citrix XenDesktop, this new solution aims to enable companies to reduce their total cost of ownership (TCO) by up to 40 percent, and decrease IT infrastructure initiation time from 45 days down to just one day.  

Citrix XenDesktop allows INET's customers to securely access business apps and data, including Windows apps, from INET's public cloud. As a result, INET customers can simply log on from any mobile device, at any time, from any location. This supports INET's customers across various use cases, including improving business continuity plans, enhancing PC replacement processes and supporting Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) initiatives.

Through this partnership, INET customers will essentially be able to shift their Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications from physical to virtual desktops and gain instant and secure access to the corporate resources they need.

The desktop virtualisation solution optimises user experience with high performance over any network, including 3D professional graphics apps and workstations. The cost of app and desktop management is minimised as apps are delivered, managed and supported through the web-based, self-service provisioning feature.

The simple and centralised IT management also provides seamless on-demand virtual desktop delivery, making it possible for organisations to easily enable a mobile workforce. Through this DaaS offering, INET's customers will be able to streamline IT operations and management, significantly lowering their total cost of operation.
