Malaysia's first comprehensive cloud security solution is now available, said Telekom Malaysia's business process outsourcing arm VADS during the launch of its VADS Cloud Based Web Security.

During the launch in Kuala Lumpur, VADS chief executive officer Ahmad Azhar Yahya said: "Security is paramount to any organisation out there and is one of the most critical factors taken into account by organisations when considering of shifting to Cloud technology."

"Today, we are proud to say that together with our partner, Zscaler, we are able to offer a comprehensive and complete Managed Security Services for Cloud users," said Ahmad Azhar. "This will ensure that organisations and users have an additional layer of protection and their data is safe within the Cloud."

"VADS Cloud Based Web Security is offered together with Zscaler Cloud Security, which is designed to offer better protection and faster response time at a much lower cost," he said.

Zscaler vice president for APAC and Japan, Matt Bennet, said "Today's enterprise users consume the Internet beyond the traditional security perimeter. They bring their own mobile devices and apps to work, more mainstream applications are deployed in the cloud and the widespread use of social media blurs the boundaries between corporate and personal use."

"With more sophisticated security threats and greater control required of employee access across multiple devices and locations, VADS Cloud Based Web Security allows companies to focus on the delivery of business requirements rather than the deployment and maintenance of infrastructure," said Bennet.
