Apple asks developers to focus on WiFi, Safari and Graphics Drivers

Apple has this week released its third beta of OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.4 to developers, labelled build 12E33a.

The new build comes eight days after the second beta was seeded to developers by Apple, which arrived as build number 12E30, and included a reference to the new, as yet ungratified, high-speed 802.11ac '5G' WiFi standard.

Apple has asked developers testing the latest build of the forthcoming Mountain Lion update to focus on WiFi, Graphics Drivers and Safari.

The first beta of OS X 10.8.4 arrived in on 1 April, two weeks after the final version of the OS X 10.8.3 update was released. Apple's OS X 10.8.3 update saw 14 beta builds seeded to developers before being released to the public, and brought Safari 6.0.3, Boot Camp improvements and audio fixes to Macs running Mountain Lion.

Developers can access the new OS X 10.8.4 build through the software update tool in the Mac App Store.
