KUALA LUMPUR, 8 JUNE 2011 - Video solutions provider Axis Communications has won a regional award from analyst firm Frost & Sullivan for its performance in the area of aerospace and defence.

Lee said the award recognised outstanding performances in the airlines, airports, manufacturing, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), aviation training, defence, general aviation and homeland security segments of the aerospace and defence industry.
"Several airports such as Sydney Airport in Australia, Carcassonne Airport in France, Korea's Gimpo International Airport and Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport in China have chosen Axis network video solutions to meet their surveillance needs for monitoring at strategic places from entrances and exits, security and passport controls, check-in areas, commercial and parking areas, airport perimeters, cargo areas and runways and taxiways," he said.
