Level39, an exclusive tech start-up accelerator in London's Canary Wharf, has a signed a partnership with Intel that will give its residents access to the chip manufacturer's industry expertise, contacts, data sets and next-generation hardware.
Over a nine-month period, Intel has pledged to provide the Level39 community with access to its latest hardware innovations through installations within the accelerator. This will be accompanied by a series of tech demos and cross-pitching sessions.
The fintech, retail and future cities start-ups within Level39 will also be given access to Intel's datasets and product development building blocks so they can experiment and collaborate with the next generation of Intel's hardware.
Ian Jones, UK smart cities director at Intel said: "Working with Level39 will enable us to get closer and build more collaborative relationships with these industries and their ecosystems in London. We are excited to provide in-depth access to Intel resources to further accelerate the enablement of technology in this fast moving and innovative environment."
Level39 deputy head Claire Cockerton said the accelerator expects some "beautiful business opportunities and product ideas" to come out of the collaboration.
Level39 was set up by the Canary Wharf Group plc to help high-growth tech companies grow with the potential to become long-term occupiers. Since opening its doors in March 2013, the space in the One Canada Square skyscraper has played host to over 30,000 visitors and 200 industry events.
