DiGi campaign targets youth segment

Malaysian telecommunications provider DiGi offers 100 unique experiences in a campaign for prepaid customers.

Malaysian telecommunications provider DiGi has offered 100 unique experiences to 30 winners in a new campaign targetting the youth segment of prepaid customers.

DiGi head of market operations & partnerships Moharmustaqeem Mohammed said the new promotion - the DiGi Super Reload Social Impian Buddyz - offered prizes worth more than RM250,000 [US$80, 893] in a campaign running from 8 September to 31 December 2011.

"This special promotion, which is targeted especially for the youth segment, offers customers the opportunity to be one of the 30 lucky winners to get to choose an experience from one of 100 unique experiences and adventures with three of their best buddies," said Moharmustaqeem. "Of these, three will be 'golden tickets' where winners will get the once-in-a-lifetime chance of getting to share their unique experience with 'Friends of DiGi' celebrities - Lisa Surihani, Aizat Amdan and Sam Shaheizy.

"Our prepaid customers have been very responsive to our Super Reload Social campaign when it was launched a few months ago," he said. "This time, in addition to being able to get freebies like Facebook SMS/ Twitter SMS, customers will have a chance to enjoy further discounts from our merchant partners and possibly emerge as one of the 30 lucky customers to experience exciting activities."

He said out of the 30 experiences, three customers will have the opportunity to go para-motoring with Lisa, or get to be a rock star with Aizat or be a pilot for a day with Shaheizy.

"DiGi has always had a strong focus on and being relevant to youth," said Moharmustaqeem. "This Super Reload Social Impian Buddyz is a perfect example of how DiGi brings products and services that are catered specifically to the needs and mobile lifestyle of Malaysian youth."

"During the four-month promotion, every single customer who reloads with DiGi Super Reload Social will be an instant winner as all the reload cards will have free gifts or special discounts from DiGi's partners such as A-look, Crocs, Elianto, Fotokem, Genting Skyway, RipCurl, Silky Girl, Starbucks and TGV Cinemas," he added.
