Fetch and MindMeld debut the first AI-powered Apple Watch app

Oscar Raymundo | May 22, 2015
On-demand personal shopping app Fetch has integrated "Siri on steroids" artificial intelligence technology to recognize voice commands on the Apple Watch faster and more intuitively.

Tuttle believes that in five to 10 years, the same AI that is now dissecting Fetch's voice requests will have "learned" from fulfilling enough requests that it will be be able to analyze open-ended questions without the need for a human concierge to supervise its actions. It's not difficult to imagine that in the near future our Apple Watches will become fully-functioning AI assistants: restocking our fridge via Instacart before we even realize we're running out of groceries, for example, or booking a flight right before prices skyrocket during holidays.
