Microsoft Malaysia makes a new senior appointment to lead services business.

The appointment of Suzlinda Sulaiman as Microsoft's head of the Microsoft Services division in Malaysia will help guide Malaysian businesses to enhance returns on their investment in the technology solutions giant's products and technologies, it said.

"Suzlinda's appointment as our Services Lead fulfills a very important building block in our commitment to transform Malaysia together, to better help Malaysian businesses maximise returns with the power of Microsoft technology," said Microsoft Malaysia managing director, Carlos Lacerda. "We are delighted to welcome Suzlinda, after an extensive search, and look forward to how her keen expertise and achievements will greatly benefit our customers."

Lacerda added that Suzlinda will lead the consulting and enterprise support team to also help with deploying and optimising IT. The Microsoft Services division and its partners offer enterprise planning to deployment and support with a team of more than 20,000 architects, engineers, consultants, and support professionals worldwide with clients across 191 countries and in 46 different languages.

Suzlinda said she was excited to be part of Microsoft Malaysia. "Particularly now in the era of big data, cloud services and mobility, both technology and services need to work in tandem to successfully deliver innovative solutions for our customers."

With 22 years of sales and customer relationship management, Suzlinda was the vice president of Managed Services in Fujitsu Malaysia. Her career also includes stints with Apple Malaysia's Mac business in Malaysia and Brunei's education markets.
