Earlier yesterday (10 September 2014), Apple unveiled the much anticipated iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, which are touted to be the thinnest and largest phones to be running on a new 64-bit chip. At just 6.9mm thick, the iPhone 6 features a 4.7-inch screen displaying 1 million pixels. Meanwhile, the 7.1mm thick iPhone 6 Plus features a 5.5-inch screen that displays 2 million pixels.

Both phones will run on the new A8 processor, which is said to be 25 percent faster than its predecessor. They will also feature ApplePay, a new payment system that works using near-field communication technology (NFC). With this function, users simply need to hold their iPhones to a sensor at the cash register before using TouchID to complete the purchase.

A no-contract iPhone 6 will retail in Singapore starting from S$988 (US$790) while a no-contract iPhone 6 Plus will be available from S$1,148 (US$918), according to Apple's official website.
