A delegation of 15 South Korean ICT companies are to visit Malaysia in early November under the auspices of the Korean Communication Commission to form partnerships with Malaysian partners, according to the National ICT Association of Malaysia (PIKOM) and national ICT agency Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC).

The Korea-ASEAN ICT partnership programme, which is being managed by EJ Resources managing director Khairul Nizae, is a one-day event, to be held 1 November at the Intercontinental Hotel, supported by PIKOM and MDeC.

Khairul said the Korean companies see Malaysia as a regional hub for ASEAN markets.  This year, KISA (Korean Internet Security Agency) and KAIT (Korean Association of Information and Telecommunication), under the auspices of the Korean Communication Commission (KCC) will lead the Korean delegation.

Malaysian firm EJ Resources specialises in business matching, trade facilitation and market entry services, he said. "The objective of the ICT Partnership programme is to create a strategic Business to Business (B2B) Platform for ICT-related Vendors, Solutions and Service Providers from Korea and Malaysia and ICT-dependent organizations" said Khairul Nizae, managing director of EJ Resources. The B2B Platform will provide the participants with opportunities to create partnerships for ICT related market opportunities in Korea, Malaysia, Asian and the Middle East markets."

"We are much honoured to be chosen by the Koreans to assist them in their endeavour to expand their market into this region," Khairul said. This is the second year EJ Resources have been chosen to organise this important programme and are pleased with past programmes and look forward to greater partnerships between Korean and Malaysian ICT companies in working with world-class solutions for the Malaysian, Asian and Middle East markets."

He said that Malaysian companies are encouraged to register to meet the Korean companies as meeting slots are very limited. The visiting companies specialise in the areas of digital broadcasting; digital electronics (digital TV, LED, etc); networking solutions (including WiMAX, broadband & cellular technology); software; IT convergence (embedded systems, industrial electronics, tablet and electronic pad solutions);  mobile technology; and security solutions (enterprise & mobile).
