A new portfolio of nine new PCs, called Lenovo DO, should meet the lifestyle and needs of a wide range of Malaysian users from consumer to power users, said PC firm Lenovo.

During the launch on 7 June 2012, Lenovo Malaysia country general manager, Khoo Hung Chuan, said: "We see a PC+ evolution where the PC remains central to the digital lives of many people and businesses."

"Our strategy remains consistent; we attack areas of greatest potential and protect areas where we have a strong lead," said Khoo. "Lenovo is number two in the worldwide PC market and today we expand our lead into the notebook market by being one of the first to release PCs powered by the new third generation Intel Core processors. We will continue to create new products that will set the standard for the PC+ evolution and support all users across all walks of life."

He said the new lineup was led by IdeaPad U Series Ultrabooks - inspired by Intel. "Available in two models, the IdeaPad U310 and U410, Lenovo's latest Ultrabooks take the era of thin, lightweight and ultra-responsive mobile computing to a new level of affordability."

In addition, Lenovo launched new IdeaPad Y series (Y480 and Y580) and IdeaPad Z480, which provide a full spectrum of styles, colours and performance options for every discerning consumer, said Khoo. "Business professionals are not forgotten as well with the introduction of the ThinkPad T430 workhorse, and the slim and lightweight ThinkPad X230 notebooks for the best in mobile productivity and performance."

"Small and medium businesses (SMB) can look forward to the ThinkPad Edge E430 notebook and ThinkCentre E92 desktop that are designed for them in mind, with the perfect balance of affordability, performance and design." he said, adding that more information could be found on the company's Facebook Malaysia page.
"The company's Book of DO campaign is reaching out to Malaysians through the lives of three young Malaysians who exemplify the 'Arts of DO,' namely in writing, art and music," said Khoo. "Representing 'Storybook' is blogger Galvin Tan, who writes for Decoding Galvin, a popular tech and lifestyle blog. For 'Sketchbook', digital artist Yvonne Yong was selected for her beautiful and inspiring digital works of art. Last but not least, representing 'Songbook' is popular DJ duo LFL, a dynamic duo that is quietly building a name for itself in the local DJ scene."
