The lowest broadband rates in Malaysia for 10Mbps will include the bundling of free calls, unlimited download quota and free devices, said Malaysian telco Maxis.

Maxis Fibre Internet service is available across 1.2 million homes and offices in Malaysia, said Maxis' head of home products, Harold Quek, speaking  May 2012.

"Malaysians are looking for a faster, seamless and richer internet experience that is affordable to enable them to stay connected with their family and friends world-over while enriching their lifestyles," said Quek. "With this promotion, not only do they have a choice, they also get the speed and reliability of the best and widest network coverage in the country and at the same time enjoy more benefits in addition to fast internet connectivity."

New customers can sign up for internet speeds of 10Mbps (Megabits per second) at RM118 (US$36.85) per month for a 24-month contract, he said.

"More value for money is in store as customers will also have access to unlimited download quotas, allocated free minutes to Maxis mobile numbers and selected IDD destinations, as well as unlimited calls to Maxis fixed lines," he said. "Customers will also enjoy free value-added services such as unlimited music downloads through Onemusic, internet security, as well as free devices. In addition, Maxis postpaid customers will get extra 150 minutes on their Maxis mobile every month, at no extra cost."
