Following Seagate Technology's recent brand refresh, the storage company has announced a new portfolio of five Networked Attached Storage (NAS) systems optimised for small businesses in Malaysia.

These NAS solutions are specifically designed for the Malaysian home offices to small businesses of up to 50 employees to deliver simplified storage solutions at a range of capacities from 2TB [Terabytes] to 30TB, Rex Dong, managing director of the sales and marketing organisation for Asia of Seagate Technology [Seagate], excluding China and Japan.

The Seagate NAS and NAS Pro lines set the standard for ease-of-use by introducing a new intuitive operating system, NAS OS 4, together with hardware specifically designed for small businesses without dedicated IT resources, said Dong, adding that this helped businesses to optimise revenue growth and 'Anywhere' access to important data.

"We understand that today's small businesses can benefit from a storage solution that is easy to manage and provides 24/7 secure access to the information that drives their businesses," he said. "From the individual contractor to the fifty-employee office, Seagate has the right product to match the needs of any size of small- to medium-sized business."

Dong said today's businesses rely on data and document accessibility to sustain and grow their business. Seagate's next generation NAS OS 4 has a redesigned Device Manager, which allows users to manage preferences and configure settings from a single location.

It also includes the most demanded features by our customers including App Manager and Seagate Sdrive for remote access, he said. "Designed to be easily up and running without dedicated IT support, Seagate NAS OS 4 helps small businesses stay organised and focused. The NAS device management is effortless from a desktop, laptop, tablet, or even a smartphone. Seagate NAS OS 4 has been designed to keep projects accessible, secure and always available."

Seagate NAS and NAS Pro provide secure access to files by creating a private cloud, also allowing access to files from a centralised location, through while Seagate Sdrive software - a private cloud that physically resides on Seagate NAS, he added.
