During a private celebration in Kuala Lumpur on June 6th 2012, Computerworld Malaysia honoured top executives from 12 ICT companies that won this year's Customer Care Awards.
The companies are:
APC by Schneider Electric
Cisco Systems (Malaysia)
Dell Sales Malaysia
Symantec Corporation (Malaysia)
These are the winners of Computerworld Malaysia's sixth annual Customer Care Awards (CCA), which salutes the nation's best providers of pre- and post-implementation consulting, support and maintenance work in the area of information and communication technology (ICT) as chosen by their customers.
In the first quarter of 2012, as in the previous five years, more than 3,000 of Malaysia's most progressive information executives were invited to participate in the exercise of rating, on the scale of 0 to 10, the performance of their ICT solution providers and partners in delivery of services at every stage of a given technology deployment-running from early stage consulting through complete implementation, user testing, and continual maintenance, support and process enhancement.
Their responses were gathered, analysed and audited by regional market analyst house Fairfax Business Research (FBR)-which is a sister company of Fairfax Business Media, the publisher of Computerworld Malaysia-for the highest accuracy of results possible. The ICT vendors with the highest scores across all evaluation areas in their respective categories won and entered the annals of Computerworld Malaysia's CCA history.
Paragons of Customer Excellence
This year, 12 companies took up a total of 18 awards. The multiple award winners were Microsoft Malaysia with four awards, Hewlett-Packard Malaysia with three awards and Symantec Corporation (Malaysia) with two. The other paragons of customer excellence in 2012 were: APC by Schneider Electric, Cisco Systems (Malaysia), Dell Sales Malaysia, EMC Malaysia, Fortinet, Red Hat, SAP Malaysia, Telekom Malaysia and VMware.
"We all know that many factors contribute to ensure customer satisfaction, but perhaps of especial note is the precise alignment between your service portfolio with the needs of your customer," said Computerworld Malaysia Editor AvantiKumar. "As well as offering value, efficiency and reliability, I believe all the winners today have discovered and demonstrated even higher gears of operating excellence than in previous years, which include professionalism and courtesy in an increasingly constrained economic environment."
Mark Hobson, Asia Regional Manager of Fairfax Business Media, said, "In any successful business, the company's leaders drive a company-wide commitment to customer fulfilment. I believe that in these times, when the bar has moved even higher and end-users need to meet even more stringent expectations on all fronts that all staff from CEO to ground staff are now corporate leaders, in the eyes of their customers. All winners of the Computerworld Malaysia Customer Care awards have demonstrated leadership by securing one of the most ephemeral prizes of all - customer satisfaction!"
