Partnership allows Jeju Air to increase business opportunities as it grows its network.

Airline provider Abacus International has recently signed up South Korea's Jeju Air as one of its latest partners for flight information and reservation.

The partnership means travel agents connected to Abacus can access Jeju Air flight information and fares in real time. With Abacus as a revenue partner, Jeju Air and its travel agents connected to Abacus can expand their sales opportunities with updated flight information. Jeju Air said this is significant as it is currently expanding its international network to Hong Kong, Bangkok, Cebu, China, and Japan.

"Distributing our content through the Abacus system greatly simplifies booking procedures for agents in South Korea," said Um Boo Young, chief operating officer of Jeju Air. "It benefits our business as we can now achieve greater cost savings and efficiency and gives Jeju Air greater reach to our customers by providing options to other Korean city designations via our domestic and international routes."

As a low-cost carrier, Jeju Air offers both domestic and international flights. It recently announced that it will launch new routes in China this month.

"With Jeju Air expanding rapidly to new destinations in China, such as Nanchang, and additional frequencies to Japan, Hong Kong, and Bangkok, Abacus is helping Jeju Air achieve higher sales and better yield," said Ho Hoong Mau, division head, Abacus International. " This will drive greater two-way traffic flow between Southeast Asia and North Asia from Korea's international airport hubs in Seoul and Busan, where Jeju Air operates from."

Abacus International is a consortium of Asia's leading airlines including All Nippon Airways, Cathay Pacific, China Airlines, EVA Airways, Garuda Indonesia, Dragonair, Philippine Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Royal Brunei Airlines, SilkAir and Singapore Airlines.
