Believes it can achieve this goal by making innovative breakthroughs in fundamental technology.

Global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider Huawei is focused on sustainable development of global technology enterprises.

The company believes it can reach this goal by making innovative breakthroughs in fundamental technology.

Huawei began its business in emerging markets and according to Guo Ping, rotating CEO and deputy chairman of Huawei, it is dedicated to innovation and entrepreneurship. This focused effort has enabled the company to go global with its offerings.

"In our experience, we have learnt that the fundamental technology - including complex mathematics and algorithms - is the most important component of a global technology enterprise's long-term sustainable development and yet, it is often overlooked," said Ping.

Huawei used mathematical algorithms innovatively to create the unique

SingleRAN technology. This solution has significantly consolidated and simplified 2G, 3G and 4G mobile network equipment by enabling telecommunications operators to upgrade to next-generation technology without making many changes in the hardware.

Creation of SingleRAN technology has established Huawei as one of the leading wireless infrastructure providers in the world.

Influencing technology development
Commenting on the way global technology providers are changing the emerging world, Guo said that multinational companies play an important role in conducting and driving innovation across the world.

In addition to building core competencies, these companies should focus on developing a strong foundation for innovation as well as integrating talent and resources globally.

Protecting intellectual property rights (IPR) should also be taken seriously by these enterprises because it will encourage technology investment and bring benefits associated with greater level of innovation.

Huawei expects the popularity of  wi-fi technology to continue in future and due to this, mobile and fixed networks will play complementary roles in the ICT ecosystem.

"In the ICT sector we envision a world of ubiquitous connections - zero wait time, ultra broadband and smart applications. This presents many opportunities and challenges in terms of achieving breakthroughs in technology and business models in order for that vision to become a reality," added Guo.
