Plantronics has expanded its presence in Indonesia by opening a representative office in Jakarta, its capital.

A press statement by the Santa Clara, California-based vendor of audio communications technologies said its new office will support its growing pool of channel partners and customers in that country, Southeast Asia's largest in terms of territorial size and population.

It added the Indonesian office will receive technical and customer service support from Plantatronics offices in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines.

Indonesia's estimated population of 253 million makes that country's economy the largest in Southeast Asia in terms of size.

IDC has estimated its IT spending to reach US $ 16.5 billion by end of 2014. Plantronics audio technology products range from unified communications solutions to Bluetooth headsets, serving both consumer and business markets.
