Singapore commuters can now reload their EZ-Link cards on-the-go

Besides the top-up function, the My EZ-Link Mobile app also enables users to view their card balance and transaction history.

Commuters in Singapore can now skip the queue and immediately top-up their ez-link cards via My EZ-Link Mobile app. The app, however, only works on selected Android mobile phones that are Near Field Communication (NFC) enabled.

The top-up process is entirely cashless, allowing users to pay with their credit or debit cards, with MasterCard as the preferred card. This is in line with the company's aim of "transforming Singapore into a cashless society," said Nicholas Lee, CEO of EZ-Link Pte Ltd.

Each top-up comes with a convenience fee of S$0.30 (US$0.24) per transaction, which will be waived for a promotional period of six months. For MasterCard cardholders, the fee will be waived from the date of the launch.

Besides the top-up function, the app also enables users to view their card balance and card transaction history up of to their last 30 transactions, as well as manage multiple ez-link cards.

NFC-enabled Android phones that are currently compatible with My EZ-Link Mobile include Samsung Galaxy S4 with LTE, Samsung Galaxy S3, Samsung Galaxy Note 2 with LTE, Sony Xperia Z, LG G2, and LG Optimus G Pro.
