Rugged tablet computers maker, Xplore Technologies, has expanded its presence within the A/NZ region with the acquisition of developer of slate Tablet PC computers, Motion Computing, and its subsidiaries.
The company said, in a statement, that by bringing together the two companies, organisations in A/NZ have access to a robust range of rugged tablets in the industry that are purpose-built for the workflow demands of critical industries.
Xplore Technologies chief operating officer, Mark Holleran, said with more than 30 years' combined industry experience focused solely on the rugged tablet market, it is confident the strength of the collective companies will consistently address a broader range of customer needs.
"It will provide a 'one-stop shop' for rugged tablets. We are excited to now offer one of the broadest portfolio of purpose built rugged tablet computers and accessories available on the market," he claimed.
The company aims to increase its play within the energy, healthcare, hospitality, utilities, manufacturing and distribution, public safety, field services, transportation and military sectors with its product range.
The full portfolio of Xplore and Motion by Xplore tablet computers is available via its distributors including Dicker Data and the official Australian brand launch will take place at Dicker Data's first national TECHx roadshow.
