SINGAPORE, 15 JULY 2010 Singapore telco M1 yesterday announced that it would offer dedicated iPad price plans for iPad with wi-fi + 3G in the coming weeks.
In its brief statement, M1 did not say anything more than that. It simply added a few words to eulogise the already much-publicised Apple product: iPad allows users to connect with their applications and content in a more intimate, intuitive and fun way than ever before. Users can browse the Web, read and send e-mail, enjoy and share photos, watch HD videos, listen to music, play games, read e-books and much more, all using iPad's revolutionary Multi-Touch user interface.
There are media reports that say that besides M1, Singapore's two other telcos, StarHub and SingTel, also have said they would be offering dedicated iPad plans in coming weeks.
StarHub said it would release mobile-broadband plans for the iPad whereas SingTel clarified it would not be selling the iPad.
While iPads will be available at dedicated Apple stores, imported iPads are already being sold in some Singapore stores such as Mustafa Shopping Centre.
