1. Thermal decomposition of copper carbonate

Dissolve copper powder or copper wire completely with as little as 6mol/L nitric acid in a fume hood. If the solution is opaque, it needs to be filtered. In addition, sodium carbonate solution is mixed with copper nitrate solution and boiled to generate a black basic salt precipitate. When the solid is settled, the supernatant is removed, fully washed, filtered and dried by decantation. 2. Nitrification of copper wire or copper powder

Dissolve copper wire or copper powder in 6mol/L nitric acid to keep a little excessive copper, heat it to pH 3-4 to remove iron hydroxide precipitation, then mix it with 10% (mass) sodium carbonate solution, heat it to boil, and precipitate basic salt, discard the supernatant, fully wash it with water, filter and dry it. The dried basic copper carbonate is heated and decomposed into black copper oxide powder under low fire with sufficient stirring. When carbon dioxide is no longer produced, the decomposition is complete.
