Will graphite be needed in the future

The 2021 International Energy Agency ("IEA") report highlighted that the world will need between 8 and 25x more flake graphite from 2020 to 2040. This is supported by my recent Trend Investing forecast of a 17x increase in flake graphite demand from 2020 to 2037. In water-rich conditions, water intercalates graphite at the initial stages of oxidation and oxidation, similar to the oxidation process of free-standing graphene; in contrast, in water-free conditions, large molecules intercalate graphite only after oxidation occurs on more than half of the surface. Graphite being a form of carbon(a nonmetal), is not ductile and hence cannot be drawn into a wire as it will break on being pulled. It's great for learning about electricity and a fun introduction to circuits. Graphite comprises carbon atoms with delocalized electrons that can move through the graphite. The electrons allow graphite to conduct electricity. You can demonstrate this by creating a graphite pencil circuit! Graphite occurs naturally in metamorphic rocks such as marble, schist, and gneiss. It exhibits the properties of a metal and a nonmetal, which make it suitable for many industrial applications. The metallic properties include thermal and electrical conductivity. Graphite may be considered the highest grade of coal, just above anthracite and alternatively called meta-anthracite. However, it is not normally used as fuel because it is difficult to ignite. Graphite occurs in metamorphic rocks due to the reduction of sedimentary carbon compounds during metamorphism. It also occurs in igneous rocks and meteorites. Minerals associated with graphite include quartz, calcite, micas, and tourmaline. Graphite is not an igneous rock because it originates from organic material and is composed of carbon. Igneous rock is a rock that is formed by cooling magma or lava, which is composed of various minerals and metals like iron. However, some graphite may be found within chunks of igneous rock.
