AlB2 (or AlB2), is a binary compound made from aluminum and boren. Normal temperature and pressure make it a reddish solid. The surface gloss of the material is lost when it’s heated. AlB2 (alluminium diboride) has a structure that is very similar to graphite flakes. It is found between the B-atom and the B-atom. This is very similar to magnesium diboride’s structure. AlB 2 single crystal shows metal conductivity parallel to the hexagonal plan of the substrate.
